What's the script?
Obviously we are going to yomp the 3 peaks of Yorkshire (Pen - y - Gent, Whernside and Ingleborough). The Yomp is around 24.5 miles and must be completed in under 12 hours in order to join the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire Club (set up by Peter and Joyce Bayes). It starts from Horton in Ribblesdale and is a circular walk taking in the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire in the above order and returning to Horton in Ribblesdale. You must you must book out and book in again at the Pen-y-ghent Café in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. This also enables you to avail yourself of the safety service that the Café provides. If you complete the walk within 12 hours, and have used the antique clocking machine in the Café, you will be invited to join the "Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club", and purchase, inter alia, a Three Peaks badge and tie.

When and Where?
Saturday 20th June (one day off the longest day)

8am (eary enough, it takes around 1hr 30mins to get there from Leeds so don't want to cripple ourselves before we start)

Meet at the carpark in Horton in Ribblesdale it's marked on maps and you can't miss it, it's on the left as you driver through the village. Reckon this will be better than meeting in Leeds, this will waste valuable time that will be better off spent in bed.

- I recall from last time I was there that this isn't a big car park so it may get quite busy might be worth getting there a bit early to secure a spot.

Backpack
Water supply either in camelback style or bottles
Waterproofs
Hat (for sun)
Suncream
Walking boots (I'm hoping we may get away with walking trainers)
Food
Camera
An extra layer - it may get a bit chilly on the top
Ordnance Survey Explorer OL2

Once we're done?
We should go for a pint of ale to celebrate somewhere I reckon!

This may obviously alter depending on weatherconditions - if it's nasty we will need extra clothing but I've got high hopes it's gonna be nice, shit if Glasto is then this defo is and Glasto is gonna be a beaut.
